  • Short Courses in Self-Protection and Defensive Tactics

For most of us the knowledge we would need to administer emergency medical treatment does not require that we undertake a degree in Medicine. A short First Aid course is sufficient for most medical emergencies that we are likely to face in our lifetime. Medical degrees are for those with a particular desire or interest in dedicating their life to a specialist subject. The same is true of self-protection. Krav Maga is structured in such a way that it is possible to learn what is necessary for most situations in a short period of time. Krav Maga does not require a life-long commitment – as do many martial arts – merely to achieve competency. For this reason, short, intensive courses in basic personal protection and defensive tactics are offered.
  • Women’s Self-Protection Courses

The threats faced by women in our society are very different in nature to those faced by men. Krav Maga offers short courses tailored specifically towards women and the particular problems they face as a group. These courses are taught in very small groups.

  • Door Team Training

These day-long courses are aimed at active door teams who want to practice and develop their skills and team work. The emphasis is on developing tactics for particular types of situations in order to allow a team to act harmoniously under stress. We prefer to run this seminar at the actual place of work (pub/bar/nightclub) if possible, though we can book alternative venues. This is a high intensity course that utilises several instructors, padded assailants, and increasing levels of stress. Although all the instructors are highly experienced in the door-work and security field, the aim is not to teach new skills or ideas, but to help teams to discover, through reflective practice, how to work more efficiently and safely together.
