With the lifing of restrictions our classes are now getting back to normal. Here’s what’s occurring…

It’s been a long road. For everyone. Fingers crossed we will see the final COVID restrictions lifted soon and life will begin to return to some semblance of normality.

The various requirements and regulations have hit martial arts schools hard for the last 18 months and many have closed permanently. We have been fortunate. We have kept our doors open as much as possible, within the restrictions. We have done what we could in that time.

Krav Maga Nottingham opened in 2005. Ours is a face-to-face club where people meet regularly (usually several times a week) to train together, to laugh, and to share each other’s company. That camaraderie is at the very heart of what we do. It’s not something that can be replicated via a Zoom class, so we didn’t bother with that stuff. And, it’s due to the continued and unflinching support of our members that our classes can now fully open again and we can continue to serve the local community in helping people to learn the skills to keep themselves safe.

Our Sport England approved road-map to recovery has let us start to resume proper training in the last couple of months. We have worked through the stages as the restrictions have come off. We are now accepting new (adult) members into the Nottingham classes for the first time in a year-and-a-half. If you want to book a session to start, then email us on enquiries@kravmaga-nottingham.co.uk

Our kids classes (Kiddy Krav and Krav Kadets) for those aged 4 through 16 years will recommence with the new school term in September 2021.

Our Lincoln club is back up and running and accepting new members. Email us to arrange your start date.

We remain committed to keeping our members safe, so we will retain the enhanced cleaning and sanitisation routines even after all restrictions are lifted.

We have taken the opportunity to review, source, and replace all our training equipment at our Nottingham Head-Quarters, and we now have an abundance of spanking new kick-shields, Thai and focus pads, IDF body armour, and a whole host of rigid and realistic training weapons.

We also have a range of extra events lined up for club members immediately that restrictions lift. This includes weekend seminars using our own training car, a seminar on a bus, grading preparation sessions, and various other supplementary classes.

Now is a great time to start your Krav Maga journey! Drop us a line to book your place. We have a waiting list, so email us now to get on it!

Finally, I wanted to take the opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks to all our members who have continued to train and support the club over the period of the pandemic. By their efforts and willingness to continue to train, they have made it possible for newcomers to have a club to join. They have endured training outside in the rain, wind, and snow. They have endured classes that were far from our normal methods of practice. But in that there has been a strength and an ethos of solidarity. From adversity comes strength. Thank you one and all. Now, let’s get back to doing what we do: punching each other and laughing about it.

Kida!
